I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Agricultural / Plant Fitter to join an expanding plant hire business. Based on the Essex / London Border they cater for every aspect of Excavator, Heavy Machinery, Plant and Equipment hire services for domestic, commercial and trade customers across London and the surrounding counties.

As workshop / Plant Fitter you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a variety of plant equipment including 1.5 to 30t excavators, 3 to 9t Dumpers, Telehandlers and Rollers in addition to a fleet of Scania and Mercedes Commercial and Light Commercial Vehicles.

The position will involve both mechanical and electrical work, so candidates will need experience with both disciplines.

Workshop / Plant Fitter - Key Responsibilities

Day to day service and maintenance of fleet
Managing the fleet service schedule as part of the workshop team
Ensuring plant is inspected prior to delivery and on return
Site breakdown resolution

Workshop / Plant Fitter - Experience Requirements

Knowledge and experience in plant repair and maintenance, as listed above
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently
Good communication skills
Attention to detail in all aspects, administration and practical
Ability to work on own initiative and together with others
Welding ability is essential
Current UK driving license
Proven ability to hold a long-term position

In return my client are able to offer a salary in the region of £35,000 to £45,000 Dependent on Experience, company vehicle and pension, in addition to ongoing training and development opportunities.
