The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing processes which include distillation units, operating PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers), blending solvents, ownership of detailed filled batch cards and coordination of tank wagon assignment.
External US:
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Usage of PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers)
Knowledge of distillation process
Blending various solvents
Communication and coordination of tank wagons
Attention to detail in following procedures
Attention to detail in filling batch cards
Automated and Manual container fill process
Provides support in labeling containers
Communicates clearly by email or in person to all supporting departments
Drives Forklifts
Active participate as member of a Safety Elements team
Provides support to Maintenance teams
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in production or warehouse environments
Good communications skills; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in organization
Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions, schematics and directions
Ability to read and understand safety procedures, including OSHA standards and regulations
Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to work with fractions and perform various mathematical conversions commonly used in petrochemical industry
Basic computer knowledge and user ability including database systems and other programs and applications used at location
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments
Understanding of general business concepts
Must be able to work varying and/or rotating shifts
Experience with rotating equipment
Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) preferred
High School Diploma or GED required.
Works well with other and demonstrate a great safety and work ethic
Minimum three to five years of experience in chemical plant or similar environment
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
MENTAL & EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
