Infrastructure Engineer, DELL, IBM, 3 months, Exeter-Hybrid, £600

An exciting opportunity has become available with our prestigious client who is a prominent government department. The client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure into there team. The role will include managing these on-premise based services and increasingly, over time, cloud-based solutions.

Essential

• Supporting business as usual activities
• Investigating service issues and resolving operational issues in a timely manner
• Producing and maintaining support procedures and documentation
• Engaging with users
• Contributing to team meetings to review and prioritise upcoming work.
• Managing and supporting the organisations VMware estate primarily hosted at Exeter, as well as a small number of outstations
• Experienced with storage Systems from vendors such as Dell EMC, IBM, DDN, NetApp
• Underpinning virtualisation via VMware
• Centralised Backup and Restore Service for the organisation (now a hybrid' solution hosted on on-premise storage and AWS
• Mainframes hosting a variety of critical Linux and z/OS based services
• Data archiving
