Salary Range: £83.33 Per Day
Location: Exeter
Start Date: October 2024

Are you keen to work with children who face learning barriers at school? Do you have a passion for providing high-quality support and tailored provision to pupils requiring additional assistance? GSL Education is seeking to recruit full time SEN Learning Support Assistant for a local primary school in Exeter for students in KS3-4 with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour. The role involves supporting small group interventions and reinforcing positive behaviour in the classroom. The school adopts an inclusive and innovative approach to education, striving to meet all pupils’ needs so they can achieve their potential. Previous experience working in a school or with children with additional needs would be advantageous.

This position is open to only full-time applicants with UK driving licence and access to own car

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural and learning challenges.
Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.
Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
