Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (Depending on experience)

The Role:
- Design and develop bespoke engineering solutions for rail depots and workshops
- Manage projects from concept to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Create detailed drawings, BOMs, manuals, and technical documentation
- Travel to rail depots for meetings, surveys, and installations
- Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and risk management principles
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong experience in designing and installing lifting equipment
- Proficient in SolidWorks (including PDM and FEA)
- Project management experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Full UK driving license
Desirable:
- Railway industry experience
- Fabrication design experience
- Knowledge of machine control systems and PLCs
- Chartered engineer status
