White Label is working exclusively with an engineering and manufacturing business in Shipley that require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
The role will involve you designing machinery and other forms of moving equipment. You will be part of a tight-knit team that works collaboratively.
Long term there are opportunities to progress to a senior as my client is expanding quickly and has a healthy order book.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer
* Generate design concepts for solutions to specific functional requirements.
* Document design concept assumptions, design trade-offs, and calculations within the project design file.
* Use Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) techniques to identify technical risks.
* Contribute to planning design activities with the project manager
* Capture project technical risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide technical support to the publications department in the creation of product manuals, building books, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Adopt New Product Development (NPD) processes and tools throughout projects.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the NPD process.
Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer
* 5 years minimum of design engineering experience in the industry in machinery, conveyors, or a rotating equipment environment
* 3D CAD experience

* A salary of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Working hours are 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 14:00 on Friday with 30 minutes for lunch.
