Major Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of Sheffield's largest steel Manufacturer’s who are looking to recruit a Skilled CNC programmer for a permanent position based in our busy machine shop.

This is a Operator/Programming role so knowledge of programming ideally Heidenhain machines is preferred. We are looking for an experienced Programmer to fit into an already established team working for a great company.

Reporting directly to the machine shop manager your main role will be to operate manual and CNC milling machines within a engineering environment. Programming the CNC machines, previous programming experience is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

* Programming CNC Milling machines

* Operating CNC miller machines

* Perform all general machining tasks.

* Setting up machines according to best practice.

* Able to read engineering drawings.

* Inspect and check machined components using measuring equipment

* Safe use of machinery and all tolerances and customer instructions are adhered to.

* Working without supervision, ensuring production of quality machined parts.

* Operate and program CNC machine tools.

* Work with complex engineering drawings.

4 Day compressed working week.

Hours of work 4.30pm - 2.30am, With plenty of overtime availability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £17.40 per hour
