Responsibilities:
The Production Planner II supports Project Engineering, Design, Project Management, and Manufacturing departments by providing clerical support on projects, and project-based data entry into the company ERP. Daily focus is to ensure work is scheduled and executed on time with maximum efficiency.
ERP User (Made2Manage) responsible for the following:Managing and monitoring data inputs to ensure proper information flow.
Scheduling Shop and Office Project Labor
Collaborates with all departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to established engineering and manufacturing sequences and lead times.
Review daily job performance to ensure orders are released and started on time.
Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
Manage deadlines based on project expectations.
Manage work center prioritization, expedite critical path items.
Identifies resource coverage gaps and works with the Project Managers to resolve them.
Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
Participates periodically in meetings with project managers regarding current and upcoming orders and schedules.
Compiles the weekly report on the 4-week capacity outlook.
Compiles data from work order history to complete the project wrap up report.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of related experience required.
Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with production planning systems, such as Made to Manage.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Company fosters a manufacturing-type environment. This position will primarily involve operating a computer at a desk in an office environment.
