This position is responsible for overseeing data integrity of our Port Shopping Revenue Management System (RMS) including set up and maintenance of promotional contracts and cruise ship itineraries, sales data, sales projections (estimates), promo invoices, statements of account, cruise line reporting and exceptions reporting.  

What you’ll be doing::

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting 

Prepare Port Shopping and Passport Budget, Strategic Plan, and Quarterly Forecasts 

Provide Port Shopping financial reports with variance analysis to include weekly, biweekly and monthly performance updates  

Prepare and submit Cruise Line Guarantee reports 

Prepare historical media and port shopping reports by merchant for forecasting purposes for Caribbean and Alaska season to include regional pacing, merchant pacing, port performance and cruise line performance 

Ad hoc analysis as needed 

Revenue Management System 

Supervise set up and validation of promotional contracts in Revenue Management System (RMS), including renewals, additions, deletions and rate adjustments 

Responsible for monthly closing of Revenue Management System (RMS) and associated reports 

Departmental liaison with IT to maintain Revenue Management System (RMS) in order to streamline, prioritize and expedite requests for maintenance and creation of new reports 

Responsible for updating and maintaining merchants in Flash module 

Oversight of ship itineraries (via cruise line files, deployment notification emails, website and/or Voyage Reports             

Process passport settlement reports provided by Cruise Line to include sales tracking, payment processing and validation of commissions  

Responsible for account reconciliation of top merchants to include invoicing, status update and payment application       

What we’re looking for::

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in data analytics & forecasting, in a retail environment 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience using pivot tables, vlookups, chart & graph creation as well as extensive use of various Excel formulas

Knowledge of Dynamics Great Plains preferred 

Analytical skills and Cruise Industry experience in this type of business will help with understanding and judging accuracy of data

Diligent attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy in accomplishing tasks 

Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form to effectively communicate with third parties

Ability to multi-task while focusing on priorities and meeting deadlines

Ability to adapt to diversity

Decision Making: 

Makes operating decisions and takes action for a department/project/initiative. Actively participates in strategy development. Very broad guidance from management. Requires high level of problem solving ability based on complex nature of problems.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Demands:

Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
