Overview:

Trissential is seeking a Consultant, SCADA Engineer to join our client team in a hybrid role based in Golden, CO; Amarillo, TX; or Minneapolis, MN. In this position, you’ll be at the heart of critical energy infrastructure projects, working on innovative systems that keep the power grid running smoothly. Your expertise in SCADA systems will make you a key player in streamlining operations, helping field teams, and driving project success. You’ll collaborate with like-minded professionals, using your problem-solving skills to support live implementations and technical advancements. Responsibilities:

You’ll build and configure Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and displays for SCADA systems, helping to keep critical energy systems up-to-date and reliable

You’ll collaborate directly with field engineers and technicians, ensuring smooth installation and successful project completion

Your organizational skills will help you track and manage project progress through tools like SI Tracker, keeping everything aligned with company guidelines

By participating in weekly team meetings, you’ll stay connected with your team and contribute to successful outcomes

You’ll assist with real-time implementations, working closely with the team and field engineers to ensure seamless transitions

Qualifications:

3-7 years of experience working with SCADA systems (GE XA/21, Schneider Electric, or similar), where you’ve built deep technical expertise

3-7 years of experience with ICCP (Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol) and real-time data exchange, supporting critical grid operations

A high school diploma is required, but a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering will make your application stand out

Essential skills:

You’ll leverage your knowledge of NERC-SIP compliance to ensure all work meets industry standards

Your strong project management skills will help you oversee tasks from start to finish, driving real results

You communicate clearly and work well with your team, ensuring projects stay on track and meet expectations

Desired skills:

PMP certification is a plus, further highlighting your leadership abilities

Experience:

3-7 years of experience in supporting utility/power grid operations, with hands-on experience in SCADA systems and real-time grid support

Benefits:

Trissential offers a competitive compensation package for full time roles. The pay range for this role is $98,000 to $108,000 annually depending on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; 3 weeks PTO, and 401k retirement savings.
