Maths Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School in Enfield, North London

Are you passionate about Maths and seeking a new opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Enfield, North London, to find a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide additional support to students in Maths. This full-time role starts ASAP and runs until the end of the academic year (July 2025).

About the Role: As a Maths Learning Support Assistant, you will work with students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, providing tailored support to boost their Maths skills. This includes working with small groups and one-on-one sessions outside of the main classroom in a mainstream setting.

Key Information:

Location: Enfield, North London - a short bus ride from the nearest station or within a 10-minute walk from on-road parking.
Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm (TBC), Monday to Friday, term-time only.
Pay: £95 per day.
Duration: ASAP start, full-time, until July 2025.This position is ideal for a Maths graduate looking to begin a career in education or someone with a strong passion for Maths who wants to inspire students. Applicants with Maths A-levels will also be considered. Experience working with students with special needs is highly welcomed.

About the School: The school is well-regarded locally, with a "Good" Ofsted rating, and is oversubscribed. Staff describe it as a fantastic place to work, with a strong, supportive team throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students in Maths, particularly those needing extra help in Key Stage 3 and 4.
Leading small group work and one-on-one sessions to boost confidence and skills.
Working in a mainstream setting, helping students stay engaged and focused.Ideal Candidate: The school is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dedicated, and has a passion for Maths. You should be calm, patient, and have a positive, encouraging approach to helping students succeed.

Requirements:

A graduate degree or equivalent qualification (Maths A-levels considered)
A love of Maths and passion for education
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience working with students or young people, especially those with special needs, is a bonus
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks
A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history (if applicable)
