About the Role
Join the largest privately owned logistics company in the North East as a skilled HGV Technician at our Cramlington site. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with a diverse fleet, performing fault diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and full vehicle overhauls. You'll be crucial in ensuring the fleet operates efficiently, from breakdown recovery to MOT preparation and engine/gearbox repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct fault diagnostics and repairs on a variety of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Perform routine servicing, breakdown recovery, and comprehensive vehicle overhauls.
Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance and roadworthiness.
Complete engine and gearbox repairs to the highest standard.
Work independently to meet tight deadlines, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail.
Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience in HGV maintenance.
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent time-served experience.
A Class 1 HGV Licence is highly desirable but not essential.
Dependable and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
What We Offer

Competitive annual salary of £41,418.
Overtime rates at £23.01, £26.57, and £35.41 per hour.

Shift Pattern

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30
Week 2: Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 19:00, plus Saturday morning shifts.
