JP Recruitment Solutions are pleased to be supporting a large national organisation, based in Blaydon, to recruit a permanent HGV Technician. Our client is looking for talented candidates that want to build a long-term career within a superb business.
This will be on a day shift (07:00-16:30) and back shift (11:00-20:30) rotating each week, Monday to Friday.
Specific responsibilities include:
Ensure repairs are carried out according to the manufacturer's procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
Road test vehicle when required.
Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter.
Level 3 Vehicle maintenance qualification, candidates with a Level 2 qualification will also be considered.
Knowledge and experience in maintaining and fixing large vehicles is essential.
Full UK Driving Licence - Class 1 or 2 licence is hugely beneficial.Our client can offer a very competitive starting salary, huge development and progression opportunities and all associated benefits
