CNC Machinist (days):
Full time/permanent contract
£18.14 per hour (increased hourly rates for experienced candidates)
Potential on target earnings with overtime is £58,483.36. This is calculated from the base rate and the standard overtime requirements
Day shift – 6am – 230pm (paid break) 38 hour working week
Overtime available (time & ½ / double time)

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a time served CNC Machinist to join our client based in Teesside. The company in question are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components. This is a fantastic time to join our client as they have just received considerable investment and are looking to strengthen their place in the market.
THE ROLE
Operate CNC machines with expertise in turning and/or milling operations.
Perform programming and setup of CNC machines to manufacture products that meet precise quality standards and specifications.
Apply knowledge of tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes to ensure high-quality outputs.
Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, and ring gauges for precise measurement and quality control.
Work with a variety of materials including non-ferrous metals, aluminium, alloy steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
Collaborate effectively with team members, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
Demonstrate flexibility by accommodating overtime work to meet customer demands.
Continuously seek opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in other machining processes.
Mentor and train colleagues, sharing your expertise and contributing to team development.
