Mechanical Design Engineer - Coventry - £40,000 - £50,000

We have an exciting Mechanical Design opportunity to join a dynamic team at a leading global business involved with the design and fabrication of specialised machinery, manufacturing bespoke automated systems in Coventry.

Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Generate and deliver concept and manufacturing design definitions, aligning with technical specifications, requirements, and budget constraints.
Contribute to the conceptual development of new products.
Maintain engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
Problem-solve and innovate to enhance existing products and processes.
Evaluate technical issues and propose investigations and solutions.
Support assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery within set parameters.
Collaborate with customers on product development to meet their specific needs.
Stay abreast of relevant technical advancements, enhancing personal skills and supporting team members as needed.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the business unit

Mechanical Design Engineer Skills & Experience:

HND or equivalent mechanical engineering design experience.
Proficiency in 3D design; experience with Pro-Engineer / Creo is advantageous.
Hands-on approach to engineering design and development.
Previous experience in designing projects from conceptions through to full engineering detailing.
Background in Automotive, Heavy Engineering, or Off-Highway/Construction Equipment is advantageous.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
