About the role

Join our dedicated team of compassionate legal professionals, specialising in adult's social care law. You will hold a varied case load and provide advice and assistance on incapacitated adult and welfare decisions. adult safeguarding, service provision disputes and ordinary residence. You will provide advice and support on pre action and Judicial review cases for both adults and children services. Your role will involve providing comprehensive legal advice and representing clients in the Court of Protection and Administrative Court ensuring that vulnerable adults are safeguarded, and their rights protected. You'll be welcomed into a supportive environment, surrounded by experienced and friendly colleagues who share your commitment to making a positive difference.

About you

We're seeking a solicitor, barrister, or CILEX with a minimum of 2 years PQE in adult's social care law. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in independently managing their caseload, providing clear and precise advice, and staying abreast of developments in this field. Effective collaboration with stakeholders and a team-oriented approach are essential qualities for success in this role.

This is an exciting time to join a Lexcel accredited in-house legal team, which is delivering an efficient and high-quality legal service to enable the council to deliver its corporate priorities. We are looking for confident, motivated, resilient people with strong communication and influencing skills to be part of our excellent and friendly legal team
