An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated nurse with surgical experience to join an expanding Endoscopy Unit at an NHS service near Bradford. This service now provides a range of services including Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology and Dermatology. This role is both demanding and highly rewarding, ideal for dynamic individuals keen on career progression and personal development.

A balanced work-life environment is encouraged with additional birthday leave and well-being days. New starters begin with 27 days paid annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing to 33 days. Benefits include no on-call duties, a 5-day working week with one half-day, a Christmas bonus scheme, and access to the NHS pension.

Role Responsibilities:

* Working under the direction of the Sister/Charge nurse to ensure the clinical department provides a high standard of nursing care and treatment to patients

* Assisting with the delivery of individual programmes of care by undertaking duties which will include pre assessment, outpatients clinic, preparation of the department to receive patients, co-ordination of patient flow through the department, acting as a chaperone and management of laboratory specimens

* Participating in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised plan of care.

* Providing care to ensure the safe discharge of patients, working in collaboration with the medical team

* Working as part of a multidisciplinary team using resources efficiently

* Delivering quality care to patients and to supervise the working of junior staff during the span of duty

* Willingness to take on extended roles i.e. IV administration/cannulation/Venepuncture and other clinical roles linked to the department

Requirements:

* Registered General Nurse (NMC PIN)

* Strong clinical experience, working within a nursing team

* GCSE, maths and English -grade C/4 and above (or equivalent)

* Gastroenterology, respiratory and recovery/theatre experience would all be an advantage
