Description: RMC is hiring for a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Dahlgren, VA. Position is contingent of successful award of contract. Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) provides high-quality, professional services to government and commercial sectors. Our mission is to deliver exceptional management and technology solutions supporting the protection and preservation of the people and environment of the United States of America. RMC is hiring for a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator who will provide support to an RDT&E environment. The selected applicant will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of windows workstations and servers and perform hardware and software installations.
Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $190,000
Requirements
Requirements:
Six (6) years of professional experience in Unix and/or Linux system administration of networks and software systems
Experience in system backup and recovery; basic software management; security management and library management; installation and configuration of hardware; operational systems and COTS software; operating computer systems in different operating environments; and sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software/network trouble shooting and resource allocation.
Qualified experience in different network protocols including TCP/IP and major network security tools such as: firewalls, knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities, attach methods and latest detection methods
T5/T5R investigation
One of the following IT certifications: CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP
