We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Science Teachers to join our dynamic teaching team.

The role

We are working with a large secondary school in South Manchester who are looking for a Science teacher to start after the October half term. This role will be a full time, on-going role covering a long-term sickness. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for science in students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons. You will help students develop a deep understanding of the scientific world, critical thinking skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons across the curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and student engagement.
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
Prepare students for GCSE's ensuring high standards of academic achievement.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
Maintain classroom discipline and promote good behaviour in line with school policies.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:

Must have a DBS on the Update Service (or willing to get one)
A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
