Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils
Location: Aberdeenshire (open to candidates from other parts of Scotland willing to be on-site 2 days a week)
Salary: £50-75k DOE

A leading international contractor seeks a Senior Civils Quantity Surveyor for its Aberdeenshire Transmission & Distribution team.

Ideal Candidate:

• 5-10 years’ experience
• Main or sub-contractor background
• Project experience in drainage, access roads, foundations, utilities, substations
• BSc in Quantity Surveying
• Extensive pre-con/estimating experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop BOQs and profit plans
• Manage interim commercial meetings and report to the Project Manager
• Handle subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts
• Ensure payment certificates are processed and payments made per terms
• Administer contract obligations and meet client requirements
• Identify and report commercial risks to Senior Management
• Collaborate with Planning Engineer on progress reporting
• Manage subcontractor remeasurement, site dayworks, and change orders
• Maintain accurate records for commercial tracking and costing
• Work independently and prioritize tasks
• Ensure speed and accuracy of information
• Negotiate with clients or their representatives
