Overview:
We are currently seeking a Deputy Manager to join an established CHILDRENS home based in Erdington that supports young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising within a residnential home and providing support to young people in a residential setting.
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the home and reporting to the Registered Manager. This is a 3 bed home based in Erdington.
Duties:
* Supervise and lead a team of support workers
* Ensure the protection and welfare of young people
* To ensure the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with Care Standards Act 2000
* Report to the Registered Manager
* Work shifts and sleep ins where required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a residential home
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Knowledge of home care practices and procedures
- Experience in creating and implementing care plans
An NVQ level 3 in health and social care is essential for this role
