Overview:
We are currently seeking a Deputy Manager to join an established childrens' home based in Erdington, Birmingham. The residential home supports three young people who have SEMH. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising and providing support to young people in a residential setting.
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the home and reporting to the Registered Manager.
Duties required (this is not an exhaustive list, a full job description is availble upon request):
* Supervise and lead a team of support workers
* Ensure the protection and welfare of young people
* To ensure the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with Care Standards Act 2000
* Report to the Registered Manager
* Work shifts and sleep ins where required.
* Support with on-call duties.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a childrens' residential home is ESSENTIAL.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulated home care practices and procedures
- Experience in creating and implementing care plans
An NVQ level 3 in health and social care is essential for this role
