Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The NOC Operations Manager will be managing 24/7 DISH Wireless Network Operations Center. The successful candidate will lead, direct and manage a group of 5G Network Surveillance, Incident Management & Fault Isolation & Management teams supporting the end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting of the entire 5G platform.  The team will quickly analyze service and system issues, determine corrective actions and implement to restore services. 

This position will escalate complex issues to our Advanced Operations & Engineering resources, and will determine root-causes for failure and develop corrective actions. Corrective actions can range from configuration changes to developing new operational procedures. This position will contribute to on-going process improvement reviews using Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics to eliminate errors, maximize hardware/software efficiencies, and increase service up-time leading to an overall excellent customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

Hire and manage a team of NS, IM, and FIM Engineers and SMEs, ensuring training programs for skill development.

Drive automation for reducing MTTR, optimizing resources, and improving processes.

Manage outages, emergencies, and incident lifecycle, ensuring network meets KPIs, SLAs, and >99.50% national availability.

Collaborate across functions (RF, Deployment, Tech Dev, Core, Cloud Infra) and with external vendors for issue resolution.

Track and address top issues, ensure Trouble Ticket updates, and resolve customer complaints within SLAs.

Handle team expansion, resource planning, recruitment, appraisals, and cross-training for NOC teams.

Skills, Experience and Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent

Minimum of 10+ years of telecom/wireless experience

Experience managing 4G/5G NOC shift environments and troubleshooting activities

Skills and Qualifications: 

Organize and prioritize dynamic schedules, ensuring quick and efficient incident resolution.

Understand 5G components (Core, RAN, Network, Transport, PaaS, gNB) and troubleshoot high-level technology issues.

Analyze wireless networks and related equipment for performance optimization.

Collaborate across departments to resolve network outages and build strong internal/external relationships.

Lead and manage teams with a proactive, adaptable approach, introducing new tools and ideas.

Self-motivated with excellent people management skills, capable of working independently and under pressure.
