Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients served and collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse practices professional nursing by utilizing the nursing process and adheres to standards set forth in the Nurse Practice Act of Pennsylvania and Grand View Health policies and procedures.
Performs a variety of cardiac/peripheral technical, diagnostic, therapeutic and patient care tasks for patients with cardiac/peripheral disease using radiological sciences. Tasks performed include radiographic imaging, manipulation of equipment, use of intra-aortic balloon pump, insertion of basic cardiac pacemakers, generator changes, and Linq insertions, cardioversions, hemodynamic monitoring and recording, patient preparation and post procedure care (procedure room and holding area), procedure room set up and cleaning, and quality monitoring.
May provide other support services dictated by patient needs, as a delivery team member. On call hours required for 24/7 after hour coverage for emergencies and urgent procedures with a response time of 30 minutes
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Vocational diploma Nursing diploma minimum requirement required
Associate's Degree in Nursing preferred
BSN
preferred
Over 1 year to 3 years as an acute care Registered Nurse required
Over 1 year to 3 years as a critical care Registered Nurse preferred
Over 1 year to 3 years as a Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse - highly preferred preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Strong verbal communication and listening skills, required
- Effective interpersonal skills, required
- Ability to work as part of a team, required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, required
