About the Role:

We are seeking a senior Process Engineer to join our team. The Senior Process Engineer will independently apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline. Develops designs that require innovation and ingenuity. Work performed with minimal supervision; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Utilizes mineral processing and metallurgical methods to select and promote Eriez flotation  technology solutions for minerals industry applications. Promote better acceptance and understanding of Eriez technologies through participation in test work at laboratory, pilot and industrial scale, and by working directly with customers at their facilities. Support the Engineering, Design, and Project Management groups in successful delivery of capital projects.

Responsibilities:

Technical consultant to a broad range of international customers to determine proper applications for Eriez’ flotation equipment to suit customer needs

Manage flotation testing programs at Eriez’ global flotation laboratory including project management, data analysis, reporting, and presentation of results

Lead pilot scale test programs at customer sites in support of global capital equipment sales opportunities

Inspect equipment installation at customer sites and participate in start-up and commissioning duties

Support North America aftermarket services including visits to customer sites and process assessments to optimize column performance and debottleneck circuit capacity

Determination of flotation flow sheets and circuit configuration, including sizing of Eriez’ flotation equipment

Preparation of process engineering deliverables for capital equipment orders, including P&IDs, instrument lists, instrument data sheets, control philosophy, instrument and spares list and review & approve instrument data sheets

Assist with product development and commercialization efforts in support of global product management organization

Assist in preparation of technical and commercial proposals

Prepare technical papers and presentations based on work conducted

Domestic and International Travel (Can be up to 25%, at times for up to 2 weeks)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, materials, etc.

8-10 years relevant experience in an engineering and/or operations role

Experience in froth flotation process and flow sheet development and analysis

Registration as a Professional Engineer in USA highly desirable

Must be comfortable leading internal / external meetings and presenting to an audience

Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem-solve are essential to the role

Detail orientated, organized with strong planning and coordination skills

Able to respond quickly to change and adapt to new requirements

Excellent time management skills

Able to effectively multitask, prioritize activities and deliver work in a fast-paced environment

Able to travel internationally to perform site visits and support business meetings

Able to communicate in other languages is an asset (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin, etc.
