Responsibilities:

Everwatch Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to support the drafting, writing, editing, formatting, proof reading, and document management and maintenance of required system technical documents for the Air Force Distributed Common Ground Station (AF DCGS) National Mission Partner (NMP) family of systems.  The technical writer will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents and will work closely with the Task Leads and coordinate with System and Software Engineers, System Administrators, Information Assurance, and System Testers to ensure all required system documentation remains update-to-date and in compliance with government provided templates.  This position is for part time support and allows for remote/hybrid work with a well-established team in support of evolving government requirements.

Prepare and/or maintain systems documentation including software version description documents, trusted facility manuals, installation and checkout procedures, hardware and operating system manuals, ports and protocols descriptions, system operations reference manuals, and training guides

Maintain a library of government provided templates

Work with developers and engineers to gather technical information and produce high quality technical documentation and training material

Use word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

Utilize content organization, management, and access services like SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, etc.

Research existing data and documentation to maximize use of previously developed text and/or illustrations

Archive technical data and documentation in an efficient method

Complete assigned tasks according to established deadlines, customer specifications, and company policies and procedures

Participate in team meetings, working collaboratively with team members to develop and/or update documentation content

Must be fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

No clearance or polygraph required, All system documentation is Unclassified or Controlled Unclassified Information

2+ years of experience of similar scope, type, and complexity

Associates degree from an accredited college or university

In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience with Computer and Information Technology

Desired Quali[fications:

Proficient using MS Office suite (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Basic manipulation of graphics (jpg, tiff, pdf, png)

Experience interpreting technical drawings and other technical graphics

Experience conducting research and ensuring use of proper technical terminology

Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills

Experience organizing and writing according to an established standard

Experience with and/or working knowledge of IT systems and common IT terminology
