Responsibilities:
The Data Analysis Analyst is responsible for the orchestrating timely, consistent, and accurate inflow/outflow of enterprise data. This includes data-related interaction with clients, business units, and analysts. The DAA is also responsible for locating, making available, and optimizing data for use in downstream analytics or system consumption working in conjunction with Data Engineers.
Collaborate with extended team members to understand the use-cases around data utilization
and create/document plans that lead to the desired outcome
Coordinate the inflow/outflows of data for the organization adhering to data privacy and other
policies
Work with Data Engineers and other developers to build both simple and complex data structures
to meet utilization requirements
Collaborate with other teams in analytics to develop and implement databases, processes, and
other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality
Query raw data as part of discovery and data- quality assessment activities
Structure large data sets to find and organize usable information
Perform data cleansing to identify erroneous data and initiate corrections needed
Creation of rules and other configuration elements within the Enterprise Data Warehouse
Direct work and interaction with Data Engineers, DBA’s, Data Analysts, Data Scientists along with
other staff members
Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics or related field of study
2 years or more of experience with supporting clients via data feeds and other inbound/outbound
data exchanges
2 years or more of experience with supporting the development of reusable datasets leveraging
TSQL
Healthcare experience with a focus on Medicare populations and plans
Understanding of Data Governance principles
Understanding of Data Modeling concepts
Understanding of Data-Privacy Standards (HIPAA/HITRUST)
Strong documentation and illustration capabilities related to data and related process flows
Strong SQL coding skills including creation/optimization of complex queries, stored procedures,
and views
Ability to travel as occasionally needed (up to 3%)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience in healthcare industry with a focus on risk related data and engagements
Experience in healthcare industry with a focus on Quality metrics
Experience interacting with large amounts of healthcare data
