POSITION: RN Medical/Surgical

LOCATION: Ascension Health, Nashville, TN (4220 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN, 37205)

TYPE: 3-Month Contract (Onsite)

SHIFT: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (06:45 - 19:15), 36 hours per week

START DATE: October 14, 2024

EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years required

PAY RATES:

* NON-LOCAL: $50.49/hr (includes $24.16/hr taxable + $26.33/hr per diem)

* LOCAL (WITHIN 50 MILES): $40.39/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans.

* Record and communicate patient conditions to the care team.

* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

* Carry out physician and nursing orders and support discharge planning.

UNIT DETAILS:

* DEPARTMENT: 7A Med/Surg Unit (23 beds)

* POPULATION SERVED: Patients with acute medical or surgical conditions (ages 18-60+)

* NURSE-TO-PATIENT RATIO: 1:6

* STAFFING: Includes RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Interns (NIs)

FLOATING ASSIGNMENT:

* RNs assume full responsibility for patient care on their team.

* Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1-3 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing.

* REQUIRED: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

* 2 professional references required.
