Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg will provide comprehensive care to patients in a medical-surgical unit, managing a diverse patient caseload with a focus on delivering high-quality care. This role requires clinical expertise, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
Monitor and manage patient conditions, administer medications, and perform necessary treatments.
Provide patient education and support to ensure understanding of care plans and health management.
Clinical Duties:
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Perform routine and emergency procedures as required, adhering to best practices and safety protocols.
Document patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
Coordination & Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide clear and accurate information regarding patient care.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
Quality & Compliance:
Adhere to all regulatory and institutional policies and procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Professional Development:
Stay current with medical and nursing best practices through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications Education:
Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelors degree preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Current RN license for the State of Kentucky.
Experience:
Previous experience in a medical-surgical setting is preferred, but not required.
