Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimising production processes? We have an excellent opportunity for you to join our global manufacturing company as a Production Planning Manager.

We are keen to receive applications from candidates who have previous planning, inventory control or supply chain experience. The main focus of this role is to ensue that the material flow from Production through to shipping is smooth. As a LEAN practitioner you will be confident to implement and oversee continuous improvement activities. In return you will develop the team that you lead and be rewarded with a generous benefits package and open working environment.

Duties will include:

* This role oversees material flow from receiving raw material through to Production all the way through to final dispatch.

* Leading the development and implementation of procedures and standard work for production scheduling, material handling, inventory management, and distribution.

* Continuous improvement activities such as kaizens, PDCA, gemba walks, value stream mapping and audits to support continuous production flow

* Lead the introduction of new systems such as water spider routes, PFEP (Plan for Every Part), and the use of capacity planning in the ERP system

* Managing a team of 4 direct reports

Skills/experience required:

* Previous Planning, Inventory Controller, or other Supply Chain related experience required

* Detail oriented and works in a structured and organised manner

* Computer literate and able to use ERP systems (eg. AX 2012 or D365) effectively

* A positive approach to continuous improvement activities

* A flexible approach to work requests prepared to go the extra mile to get the job done

* Strong communication skills with the ability to train, mentor and present new ideas

* An understanding of Microsoft Dynamics would be highly advantageous

Hours of work:

Monday - Friday - 8am - 4.30pm
