Good Afternoon,
I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of £14.40 which is negotiable dependent upon experience.
We are looking for an Estate Enhancement Operative this role will be: EN1 3ES
The right candidate will:
* The Estate improvement service role is to improve the physical condition, safety, and aesthetics of the housing stock communal areas. The service will form part of the the Estate Operations Team. The Estate Enhancement Operative will be responsible for the following (not limited to): Make safe repairs (boarding garages, sheds, doors, glass panels) Fire signage & strip signage replacement Painting works Grounds maintenance to vulnerable tenant gardens pressure washing and window cleaning.
* Responsible for carrying out internal and external enhancement works with in the Council’s Housing stock to the agreed service standard/specification
* The post holder will act as first point of contact for the residents in the Neighborhood and must ensure they deliver a customer focused service in line with best value.
* The post holder will be required to work as part of a team or individually providing services to our customers.
We require the following:
* Previous handy person and grounds maintenance experience
* Numeracy and literacy with the ability to understand, diagnose and report basic repairs.
* Experience of working with the public either individually or part of a team. With the ability to work in all weather conditions.
* Flexible co-operative approach to work, which includes the ability to climb stairways, ladders and lift and carry objects.
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the importance of Health & Safety in the work environment including issues you are likely to encounter whilst working on an estate.
* Ability and commitment to provide a quality customer focused service to achieve set standards whilst undertaking repetitive and routine tasks to a consistent high standard.
