We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading industrial firm based in Abingdon. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, systems, and prototypes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse project requirements, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to the overall success of our products.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Creating 2D and 3D design models using CAD software
Performing engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs
Collaborating with product managers and manufacturing teams to optimise designs for production
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Conducting prototype testing and analysis to identify design enhancements or improvements
Preparing technical documentation, including specifications and design reports
