Graduate Production Engineer

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

Benefits: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays rising to 25 after 1 years’ service, annual summer and Christmas social events, free onsite parking, company enrolled pension, discretionary annual bonus.

Duties to Include:

* To oversee collection and recording of production data

* To analyse accuracy of data and to compare production times to those estimated

* To develop a pricing matrix to enhance existing system.

* Improve production processes

* Analyse and streamline current production processes to eliminate unnecessary steps and allocate resources efficiently

* Apply technology solutions to enhance productivity

* To design and implement cost reduction activities

* Look at improving/developing our portfolio of equipment

* To work with the existing team to enhance and embellish existing practices

* To work with production and quality departments to improve product quality

* To work with existing H&S team to improve workplace safety Establishing quality and safety metrics for product and service excellence.

Skills/Experience required:

* A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related subject

* Or previous experience as a Production engineer within a manufacturing/engineering company.

* The ability to multi-task and meet set deadlines

* A good working knowledge of MS Packages
