Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller
Location: Outskirts of
Remuneration: £35,000 to £40,000 per year (depending on experience), plus potential bonus and excellent benefits including health insurance
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time
Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? Our client, a leading manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Carlisle, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their Finance Team as Assistant Financial Controller.
Your role will involve ensuring the visibility of costing-related situations, controlling variances, and delivering insightful analysis. Additionally, you will play a vital role in cost-saving improvement projects and contribute to the month-end process.
Responsibilities:
Provide support on all CAPEX and Fixed Asset related activities
Proactively challenge assumptions to drive cost improvements
Analyse and report factory costs on a monthly basis
Participate in business planning activities
Identify and drive cost improvement opportunities
Support the implementation of best practises for internal controls
Develop the factory's understanding of financial data
Deputise for the Factory Financial Controller as neededWhat will make you successful?
Part or fully qualified Accountant (will consider QBE)
Experience in Finance, preferably within a manufacturing industry
Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to suggest new ways of working
Strong attention to detail with an understanding of how decisions impact business strategy
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels
Flexibility when prioritising work in an often ambiguous environment
