Mayday Personnel is pleased to be working with a long established client based in Nursling, which is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team.

This varied role will be to support my client's central Accounts team and their customers.

What you’ll be doing:

* Posting and allocation of customer payments

* Reconciling unallocated payments

* Amending/monitoring credit limits

* Monitor general & personal email boxes and attend to in a timely manner

* Dealing with customer queries via email and phone

* Sending out monthly customer statements

* Sending copy invoices

* Credit control

* Setting up new customer accounts in line with company procedure.

* Other ad hoc duties

Requirements

* Previous experience in a similar role is preferable

* Familiarity with accounting systems within previous work experience

* Knowledge of Excel and Word

* Effective communicator

* Attention to detail

Bonus:

* 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (increases with length of service)

* Competitive employer pension

Hours:

Monday – Friday 40 hours per week (would consider part time 25/30 hours, 5 days a week)
