Overview:

The Patient Service Associate/Medical Receptionist provides broad clerical functions to The Center for Restorative Therapies. On a daily basis, greets/works with the public in a clerical capacity. This staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served within our department. This staff member must evidence the ability to apply these principles in working with patients and patient information. Additionally, this staff member should evidence competency in offering individualized assistance to patients and their families related to receiving rehabilitation services and payment for services. Experience in a hospital setting and with use of EPIC electronic medical record is preferred.

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Other Requirements:

Adapt to the changing needs of the organization, its patients and the market.

Actively contribute to a positive, congenial working environment.

Actively contribute to enhancing patient experience.

Understanding of medical terminology

Knowledgeable use of office equipment, including: copier, computer, fax, phones, calculators.

Must be able to type 50 WPM.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

Microsoft Outlook

Meditech (if applicable to position)

Epic (if applicable to position)

Performance Manager/NetLearning

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:

Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.

Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.

Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
