Overview:
The Lung Center MOS provides front office support to multiple Pulmonary providers in an outpatient setting. This position will provide the individual with the opportunity to provide compassionate care while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Position is located on Mercy's downtown campus.
Responsibilities:
Front Office Duties:
Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures
Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or fees as needed.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers.
Complete patient check-in and check-out processes
Complete prior authorization for patient medication and procedures.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
License Requirements:
N/A
Certification Requirements:
CPR-preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.

Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
