About the Opportunity:
Ellucian is seeking Director, Product Operations to join the Product and Technology organization. As the Director, Product Operations, you will be responsible for all aspects of Product operations. Individual should have a strong background in Ellucian processes, solutions and tooling. This person will be tasked with leading our Ops Controlling, Ops Release Management, and Systems & Quality teams. This role will report to the VP of Strategy and Operations and will work closely with the engineering, product management and cloud teams to ensure customer and product success.
Where you will make an impact
Serve as a trusted strategic business partner for Product and Technology leadership
Lead efforts to produce all Product ops data and analytics for board, QBR, and other reporting as needed
Increase productivity across Product org through robust reporting and improved transparency to key activities
Ensure appropriate staged gates for development to drive improved consistency and quality outcomes across all solutions
Establish process to track and manage R&D resource allocations, as well as associated investments across portfolio
Develop framework and reporting to improve transparency to resource allocations and overall Product investments
Drive adherence to system standards to ensure accuracy of reporting and progress
Ensure appropriate and effective process around Product go-to-market activities and associated corporate enablement
Lead regular key process reviews to ensure they work optimally and are driving intended outcomes
Lead Product content management to ensure appropriate documentation and standards
Ensure current and new tooling across Product organization are providing value and driving intended outcomes, including the rollout of SPM
Ensure consistency of Product data across our systems of record
Represent Product on governance and other steercos as appropriate
Set the direction of the Ops Controller, Ops Release Management, and Systems & Quality team
What you will bring
10+ years of progressive engineering and/or program management experience, management experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud and SaaS business strategies and operational models
Experience working with stakeholders to drive business outcomes
Demonstrated problem solver who can navigate ambiguity to get to the appropriate solution
Attention to detail and commitment to driving the best results for our business
Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal Strong knowledge of ServiceNow
Experience setting objectives and leading teams towards achieving goals
Self-motivated and self-starting with a desire to learn and drive growth and change
