Responsibilities:

The Medical Staff Assistant is responsible for performing various office and clerical duties relating to Medical Staff activities and functions. Should be able to understand and follow instructions on department policies and procedures. Be able to develop a working knowledge of medical staff credentialing process as well as assisting with medical staff meeting preparations. Assist the Supervisor(s) and Coordinator(s) in meeting the day-to-day needs of the Medical Staff Office.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma required for all new hires starting 4/1/2014

2. 1-2 years in general or healthcare office, preferred.

3. Strong experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred.

4. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

5. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services department and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

6. College degree, preferred.
