Summary: Our client in Stafford is looking for Quality Assurance Technician to perform visual & dimensional inspections, manage defects, perform production auditing and final inspections for their production department.
The company - Largest employer in Stafford. Client that does manufacturing for approximately 200,000 products per year, of which over 80% are exported. Currently looking for another member of staff due to expansion of the company.
The role:
Conduct final inspection activities
Conduct sample inspection activities throughout production
Manage reported defects to product or process
Support Continuous Improvement for the department
Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment
Prevent non-conforming parts from proceeding to the next workstation
Ensure quality of parts meet specification requirements
Collect data, feedback on the quality of parts inspected
Work with team members to find creative solutions to address complex problems
Investigate defects and coordinate with quality engineers to rework/scrap/investigation as necessary
The candidate
Relevant Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of related work experience in Quality or Manufacturing environment or 5+ years related work experience in Quality or Manufacturing environment.
Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring, testing devices (i.e. - dial callipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometres, gauges, etc.)
Experience in Problem Solving methodologies (A3, 8D, etc) - a benefit
Competent user of PC and software applications
