About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and welcoming school community in Barnet. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a key role in supporting our teaching team, working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for leading small groups, covering classes in the teacher’s absence, and working closely with children who may need extra support. Application Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA, with a solid understanding of primary education.

• HLTA qualification or equivalent.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A proactive and flexible approach to working in a team.

• Commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and delivering lessons to small groups or full classes.

• Providing support to pupils, including those with additional needs.

• Assisting with lesson planning and preparation.

• Covering teacher absences and ensuring a smooth continuation of learning.

• Offering one-on-one or group intervention support.

• Collaborating with teachers to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
