A well-established Civil Engineering company are looking for a Health & Safety Manager / HSQE manager to join their team working on various civil engineering projects. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for: - Providing comprehensive occupational health, and safety professional leadership to all levels of staff, supporting and advising all management teams, employees and supply chain, to ensure compliance is monitored and reported to senior managers. - To improve performance and manage compliance through the development, implementation and management of SHE strategies and the combined Health, Safety and Environmental management system, certified to ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001, resulting in more effective and efficient work practices. - To work as part of the senior management team, involved in the development of strategy, planning, budget and performance management, providing leadership and management to the Safety, Health and Environment team to ensure they are effective in conducting their duties. Health & Safety Manager Specification: - NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent - Membership of an appropriate professional institute e.g. The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) - Trained in accident incident investigation techniques inc root cause analysis - Appropriate CSCS card - CMIOSH - Environmental awareness - Hold a Lead Auditor Qualification - Education and Training Award or equivalent (e.g. PTLLS/CTLLS) - First Aid at Work
