Our client is an established producer of high quality pet foods based in North Scarle, Lincoln and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team!

The role will be covering 2 sites, one in Lincoln and one in Retford and so the successful candidate will need their own transport in order to work across both sites as and when required.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday with an annual salary of £45,000 per annum.

The role is responsible for leading the HSE team to promote and deliver the group HSE policies and strategies to the sites and be the driver of a safety culture to create a workplace free of risk to health and wellbeing.

· Evaluate with documented annual reviews of all site equipment, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with government safety regulations, industry, ISO standards, group H&S policies and strategy
· To assist managers, supervisors & staff to identify & report hazards / near misses in the workplace and to take corrective action or initiate controls to minimise the risk
· Implement and monitor effective proactive systems such as H&S inspections, Step Back & Take 5 and leadership tours
· To undertake Internal Health & safety auditing and inspection and take corrective action for any non-conformances identified
· Ensure all risk assessments are carried out for each machine / process on the QUOR system
· Ensure that all COSHH assessments are conducted using the SEVRON system
· To maintain health & safety statutory reports
· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, keep the site register up to date and feed back to the appropriate stakeholders where necessary
· Ensure site compliance of the company's ISO 45001 & 14001 Management Systems
· Manage HSE departmental budget
· Attend the quarterly group H&S meeting, present information as requested and close out any minutes assigned to your site within the agreed timescales
