Qualified Social Worker - Children Looked After (CLA) Team

Are you a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children in care? We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our Children Looked After (CLA) Team in Slough. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and care to children and young people who are in the care system.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met and risks are appropriately managed.
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, young people, and their families to promote their well-being and support their individual needs.
Provide direct intervention and support to children and young people, including advocacy, counselling, and therapeutic services.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as foster carers, schools, healthcare professionals, and legal representatives, to ensure the holistic care and support of children and young people.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including case notes, reports, and relevant documentation, in accordance with statutory requirements and departmental policies.
Attend case conferences, reviews, and court hearings as required, representing the best interests of children and young people.
Keep abreast of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices, ensuring compliance and professional development.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and active registration with the appropriate regulatory body. (SWE/HCPC)
Demonstrated experience working within a Children Looked After (CLA) Team or a similar setting, managing complex cases and delivering high-quality services.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection, safeguarding, and looked after children.Benefits:
