Solutions Architect - 60k + 30% Pension - Leicester
I'm currently supporting a local public sector organisation in their search for a Solution Architect. The role sits within their Information Systems Section. This function designs, develops and supports over 200 core systems which ensure the ongoing performance of highly-available critical systems. The environment comprises a range of technologies. Predominantly on-prem Windows Server with some Azure landing zones. They also look after some Oracle, Dell EMC, O365 and VMware systems - to name a few.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you'll work in their Leicestershire location once a week, although again this is flexible as long as you're in the region. The roles are signed off to £60k complete with a 30% Pension
- Lead the design and implementation of complex infrastructure and technology projects.
- Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
- Identify and implement system backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases for new ICT projects.
- Optimise existing systems for improved performance and security.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing complex technology projects within large organisations.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies (eg, Cloud, SQL, CISCO networking).
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (eg, Prince2, Agile).
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Office 365 and various established technologies.
- A full driving license and willingness to travel as required
