Overview:

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Analyst to support our business growth initiatives in the Federal Civilian and DoD markets. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, analyzing market trends, and supporting content for RFI and RFP responses. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in digital modernization, cloud, cyber, and IT Service Management (ITSM) and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

This position requires onsite work three days a week at our Reston, VA office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Opportunity Tracking & Management: Support the business development lifecycle by tracking active opportunities, maintaining a detailed understanding of market trends, and providing real-time updates on active solicitations.

Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of business markets, industry data, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and provide a rational basis for business decisions.

Strategic Planning: Assist in the development of business strategies, including market entry, competitive positioning, and long-term growth initiatives.

Proposal Support: Prepare project information, slides, graphs, and charts to effectively communicate findings and analysis. Support large opportunity capture activities such as customer interactions, competitive intelligence, and past performance analysis.

Collaboration & Knowledge Management: Work to align business development strategies with company objectives. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the company's knowledge base.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of professional experience in Federal Civilian and/or DoD market growth areas, with a particular focus on digital modernization, cloud, cyber, and ITSM.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience with CRM software like Salesforce is a plus.

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with strategic planning and business strategy development.

Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Familiarity with additional business management tools or software.

Knowledge of best practices using Shipley or similar frameworks.

Familiarity with Government Contracting capture and proposal processes.
