Job Summary

As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by managing case files, conducting research, drafting documents, and assisting in day-to-day office operations. Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and closings.

Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, motions, and correspondence.

Conduct legal research on real estate law, bankruptcy filings, DWI defense strategies, and family law/divorce cases.

Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed and up to date.

Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case status and legal proceedings.

Prepare and file court documents such as motions, briefs, and discovery materials.

Manage deadlines, hearings, and court calendars.

Assist in drafting and reviewing real estate transaction documents such as deeds, leases, and purchase agreements.

Monitor bankruptcy filings, prepare petitions, schedules, and assist in case management.

Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and client intake.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience (experience in real estate, bankruptcy, DWI, or divorce law is a plus).

Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.

Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
