Our client is a well established, small boutique firm specializing in plaintiff personal injury matters. They are seeking a full-time, in-office Legal Assistant for their Lake Worth office. You will be the face of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make.
Responsibilities:
Review and draft documents (with the assistance of the Lead Paralegal)
Create and maintain case files
In-person and telephone client services
Drafting and filing for court as needed
Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages.
Scheduling and calendaring for the firm.
Keep front desk organized and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
Greet and welcome guests.
Receive letters, packages etc. and sort them.
Assist with general clerical and legal tasks for firm, as needed.
Qualifications:
-Previous legal office experience required.
-Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
-Highly organized multitasker who works well independently in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent time management and communication skills.
-Willingness to learn and to grow with the company, and to help out where needed in a small office environment.
-Strong work ethic, a positive attitude and reliability.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
-Bilingual highly preferred (English/Spanish).
Compensation:
$20-$22/hour (based on experience)
Full-time hours M-F, 8:30am-5pm. This position does not currently offer benefits beyond PTO and holidays, but will in the near future as the firm grows.
