About the job

The Energy/Telco Team is looking for an Account Executive to find new and deliver additional value to our existing customers.  The SAS Energy Team is at the forefront of revolutionizing the Utilities industry! As an Account Executive, you will:

Sell software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers; works with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within assigned territory.

Fulfill wide range of requests for information from prospective customers. Qualify level of opportunity and resources required.

Prospect within a territory or account to uncover business needs.

Implement aspects of territory and account management and development; identifies accounts with high "close" potential, qualifies, advances opportunity through milestone steps of sales cycle and forecast time frames to close business within Orion.

Work closely with pre-sales resources and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential opportunities.

Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.

Ensures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals. 

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in Software or Analytics Sales – experience in the Energy/Electirc Utilities Vertical preferred. 

Bachelors degree in Business/Marketing/Communications/Engineering.  Refer to GCF to ensure years of experience match minimum qualifications (including # of years of experience and education requirement). 

Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications. 

Bulleted list of minimum essential requirements –  4 or fewer. 

Self-motivated, proactive sales individual comfortable with finding and advancing opportunities

Ability/Experience in building consensus within prospect accounts to sell $1M+/multi-year contracts

Comfort and confidence to work in a team environment and drive results.

Experience with Analytics Software

Experience selling into Electric Utilities

Experience selling $1m/multi-year deals

Experience driving multiple opportunities forward while maintaining pipeline levels

Experience in developing Account/Market strategies to maximize pipeline build and revenue generation
