Our client, a dynamic organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on a mix of on-site (Corsham) and remote engagements, providing a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a comprehensive view of the Product/Service change activities.
Support the Product Owner in managing product releases and maintaining capability roadmaps.
Ensure consistency with the wider CMD capability development and architectural vision.
Manage the delivery plan, including Risks, Issues, and Dependencies for effective product delivery to users.
Analyze current service provision and make improvement recommendations.
Work across DCO Project teams to manage delivery of Core Products/Services.
Manage product release schedules in line with Agile principles, ensuring stakeholders are informed.
Ensure due diligence throughout delivery with assurance from Subject Matter Experts.
Organize project briefings with end users, stakeholders, and internal project teams.
Job Requirements:
Experience in delivery management and project management within Defence & Security.
Relevant qualification in Prince 2 or other recognised project management methodology.
Background in delivering IT Projects, ideally with awareness of digital transformation to open systems architectures and platforms.
Vetting Level B clearance (UK national only).
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
An understanding of Agile principles and product release schedules.
Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
Additional Information:
Engagement Type: PAYE on-payroll.
Contract Duration: 12 months.
Hours per week: 37.5, with 2 days on-site in Corsham and the rest remote.
Notice Period: 4 weeks.
Expenses: Travel and subsistence expenses need approval and will be reimbursed as per company policy.
